I thought that I could share some of my healthy tips:
These are mine, by no means do you have to take these seriously...
Number 1: This would be make sure you are aware of your own diet, how good/bad it is. Because this is the foundation for being able to change to be a healthier you.
I would recommend keeping a food diary for a week or so, if you have an android or smart phone there are so many apps that allow you too keep track of what you consume daily, this will give you an insight into what you are actually eating! It sounds basic, but trust me you will be surprised!

Number 2: Try to eat more than 5 a day. I know the 5 seems daunting enough! (and no Jemma page, Potatoes do not count....) I know there is lots of debate around the whole 5 a day thing, but if it were up to me, I would say we need to be incorporating a whole lot more veggies into our evening meals and basically consuming more of the good stuffs (fruit and veg) and
less of the bad...you know what I mean!...this links nicely to number 3...
Number 3: Add more veggies into your meals! This one is probably the easiest! Its so simple....if your making a spaghetti bolognese add some celery and carrot, chopped so finely, you won't even notice its there. But your body will really appreciate it!

Number 4: Exercise. That word. It scares us, but I don't mean join the gym, run 5 miles a day, I'm talking about walking to the shops or walking the dog and extra 15 minutes. Small changes like this are so beneficial to our everyday health.
Here are some clever people saying stuff:
"It is clear that those who are active and who exercise are much more productive at work," says Todd A. Astorino, assistant professor of kinesiology at California State University-San Marcos.
"Exercise produces a relaxation response that serves as a positive distraction," says Cedric Bryant, chief exercise physiologist for the American Council on Exercise.
Number 5: Enjoy it! This is the hard part, eating healthy can seem boring and no 'worth it'. There is nothing wrong with some cake here and some biscuit there. But the key is to be in a balance, know your caloric intake and how much you should be eating. This way you can programme yourself to eat healthy almost automatically. This might take some time...but stick with it. Being healthy is the best way to be.
So there are some of my tips, what are yours?
Laura
